New COO for Huppertz Centre of Excellence
Cologne, February 2008
Jörg Specht (42), the former plant manager of Rittal RSB, is now the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Huppertz Material Synchronisation and Packaging (MSP).
After obtaining a degree in automation engineering, Specht launched his career at
Dango & Dienenthal Maschinenbau GmbH. Three years later, he joined Leifheit AG.
As the department manager for engineering, he developed his knowledge base, first becoming plant manager and then director of engineering and logistics with full powers of representation. In 2001, he led his company to 3rd place for the German Logistics Award. He then started managing the business side of the plant and was placed in
charge of controlling, IT and human resources.
His lean management experience includes in-depth knowledge of the Toyota Production System, with profound expertise in several logistically relevant areas, including kanban pull systems, lean teamwork and just in sequence.
